Nutrition is the material necessary, in food to support life.
Six major nutrient classes: carbohydrates, fats, minerals, protein, vitamins, and water
Nutrients are either macronutrients or micronutrients
Macronutrients include carbohydrates (including fiber), fats, protein, and water
Micronutrients are minerals and vitamins
What does a Nutritionist do?
A Nutritionist is an expert in food and nutrition:
Advises people on what foods to eat (or not to eat)
helps by giving advise on how to lead a better healthy lifestyle
Helps people to enhance and improve their health through a specific
nutritional plan which will be customized specifically for them.
